Season kickoff: tournaments with your whole crew

One match is a bet. A whole league is a tournament. Here’s how to run a season-long cup with your friends on Champ.

A single match is over in ninety minutes. A tournament keeps the group chat alive all season.

Single match vs. tournament

When you start a bet, Champ asks you to choose:

  • Single - one match, one pot. Call it, watch it, settle it tonight.
  • Tournament - a run of matches with the same group. Every match earns points, and the table decides the champion.

How tournament points work

Every match in a tournament has the same challenges you know from single bets - winning side, exact score, total corners, total fouls - and every challenge is worth points. Get it right and the points are yours. The match card shows the maximum points you can still earn, so you always know what’s on the line.

The tournament lobby keeps a live leaderboard. When matches are being played, they appear at the top with the clock running, so you can watch the table move in real time.

Starting one

  1. Tap the + button on any screen.
  2. Choose Tournament, pick your sport and league.
  3. Name it - something your friends will recognise.
  4. Invite your crew and set the stake.

That’s it. The first kickoff starts the season.

Tournaments are best with 4 to 8 friends. Big enough for an upset, small enough that everyone remembers who called it.
